I only fixed the broken link.
you are making the point that wives are hardly compatible with reasonably large speakers.
This reminds me of a visit made years ago to Di Prinzio at Chieti Scalo. While located in a small town on the Adriatic sea (approx 150 Km east of Rome), Di Prinzio is by far the largest hi-end outlet I know, more or less the size of a large supermarket (by EU standards).
During the tour, my wife kept on complaining of how obtrusive my speakers at the time (Yamaha FX3) were. One of the guys in the place heard her and offered to show us one of their exhibition rooms underground. The place was filled with speakers from A Capella in Germany. The smallest pair of speakers in the room was approx 5 1/2 foot tall (taller than my wife: the guy and I continued our chat by ostensibly laying our arms on the top of them). The rest of the speakers were of the Campanile (Belltower) line some of which easily reach 10 feet.
After the visit my wife no longer complained about the FX3s.
