I have bought and sold several items from him and he has always proved to be honest and reliable. He bought my VTL preamp, a Bryston 4b, cables, and etc. and gave me fair wholesale prices and always paid quickly. I purchased a used Krell Ksa-250 from him on a trade-in for the Bryston and some cash, and I was quite satisfied. I always thought the "audio pimp" name was clever. I can't comment on anything else other than my own experiences.

...of any good experiences one might have had with him (and I'm not doubting you at all), the way the "audio pimp" has conducted himself here is enough to convince me that I do not wish to have any interactions with him.
