a third party using the monkier Desireme1979 on ebay. First they started out with a few tubes and now the ads and prices, etc. sure look like E. or Haynes. I had a customer buy some tubes and he said they were microphonic.

This name sounds familiar... about a year ago I bought some tubes from an "Eleuterio Alejos Jr" from Michigan. Yahoo email handle "tubeseller" and ebay was "lotsoftubes". Is this the same person you have mentioned?
My first transaction with him was fine. A few weeks later then ordered two addtional sets of tubes and things went sideways and finally got my tubes after a month of flaming emails, complaints and negative feedback. Heard from some other customers after I posted negative feedback they were left high and dry.
Yes, the same. The tube ads are different from the magic cards. They are EXACTLY THE SAME as E. and Haynes. They are even selling tubes in large lots that test below good. Same crappy photo, shipping etc. It is only a matter of time before Desireme1979's feedback gets worse.
Now I have to question the quality of the tubes I purchased from him. The first order (NOS Shield label Mullards) looked A+, the later two orders looked questionable. I was replacing/upgrading the cheap generic Cayin chinese tubes that came with my amp and his NOS tubes did sound noticeably better. Maybe they just aren't matched, or as strong as advertised? Guess it pays to deal with a reputable dealer/re-seller.
Is this the same one with 1624 feedbacks?

6314 feedbacks. Located within 25 miles of E. and Haynes. all of a sudden started selling tubes within the past couple of months. After electronics2265 went under.
Guys, thanks for the warning. I just won an fleabay auction from desireme on two Sylvania black plate 12AU7s. It was a low winning price, so if they turn out to be crap, I won't lose too much. Her shipping charges though, are outrageous. I will never bid on anything from her again and have told her so.
Jay pointed out that this person may be selling tubes for E. or Haynes. They first started out (like E. and Haynes) starting the tube auctions out at a low price, to build good feedback. Now they seem to be more informed about what they are selling and are selling bigger amounts and lots of tubes. I also see the same pattern of BIN and pricing like E. & Haynes. Also if you look at the NON-tube auctions the shipping price is either free or cheap. The shipping on the tube auctions is the same as (E. or Haynes). $6.99 for the first auction and $3.99 for any additional auction.
