Won this item on EBAY. Seller “sequence123” does not take paypal, only Cash or Money order
He got my cash because I Express mailed it to him 2 weeks ago. Payed Extra to have him Express mail it back to me.
AS you can see in feedback he lied and said he mail it. But I never got a tracking number from him. And Ebay will NOT protect me.
Am I SOL ?

I just e-mailed the guy through Ebay and he e-mailed me back immediately to say that he mailed you the book this past Saturday( yesterday?) and that you should should get it soon. Keep us posted.

eBay is all about the sellers... that's where they make their fees... they really don't give a rat's behind about buyers...
From getting burned myself, I have a policy of never buying from a seller than has ANY negative feedback in the past year AND if they have an overall feedback score less than 97%. Personally, I would never do a deal for cash, unless I was buying in person...

I've had ebay/paypal rule in my favor three times regarding sellers who didn't deliver what I bought. Guess maybe they had more rat's behinds around than usual.

EBay then you get an email back saying they will look into it but they (Ebay ) Cannot tell you what action they will take because of legal reasons! Yea Right. Why don’t they just
say they won’t do anything.

With all those negative feedbacks,why would you send cash thru the mail?..At least when you send a money order,you have proof and the feds will get involved..I look at it this way.Since he has 11 negs out of 200 plus feedbacks,that would signal a caution with anyone and the fact that he doesn't take paypal..Didn't that tell you anything?
I don't want to sound like a hard ass,but I hate seeing people get taken for things like that..
Now did you at least send the money certified mail? If you did,you may have some recourse.

I know but next time always send a money order and not cash..He could say the money wasn't in there but a cashed money order which is returned to the feds he can't deny..He said he takes money orders and thats why with his lousy feedback for the life of me don't know why you didn't send a M.O.
I know I sound rough but I'm a single dad who raised his daughter by himself and now shes in college and I always tell her,Steph,you can never prove when you give someone cash but a check or some legal documentation you can and even tho she hasn't messed up on anything as far as I know,I keep preaching this to her..Remember this world is 75% dishonest in some way or another and its very sad but true.

If you don't let eBay know it matters enough to you for them to follow through in your interest, they may well let it slide. Persist.
Give people a reason to step up, and they very well might!
Nice thing about the good ol' '50's is remembering the standards of that day and and holding to them. It's all you can do sometimes. "American Standard" means a lot more than the name on a bathroom fixture.

You can get his phone number and call him and I would tell him you are going to file a police report with his home town police and he may become frightened enough to do the right thing if he did in fact receive the cash..Do you know how to get the seller's contact info? Its easy.Check the link Ive posted and put in sellers ebay name and item number and click.
Improve your odds next time by: (1) checking feedback and reading between the lines; the seller's looked pretty bad recently. (2) use postal money order; if the seller doesn't deliver, it might constitute mail fraud if the seller cashed it -- and you have a record.
Also, perhaps the seller's ID has been highjacked? If so, fraud might be another issue to pursue with eBay, or the State's Attorney General's office.

What exactly is the situation? He's ignoring your emails,has your cash? Why is ebay blowing you off? Feel free to tell him you gave his address to some leg breakers from Boston who'll be paying him a visit in the middle of the night if you don't get either your record or your money in one week.

Payed him Cash via express mail.2 weeks ago. Still no Book.
I'll go to his local Police Station and bring it to their attention. I have a Cousin on the PD in a neighboring town.
