I have a pair of those damn BG WKZ 100+100/ 500V and can't force myself to sell them so BG has to be the last cap which rules out your recipe. The same with 60's WE300b. I'm too poor to use them, can't sell for going rate so I glimpse on them from time to time :).

I was wrong about the order:
L-> Film 20uF-> L LowDCR-> BG

Sell the 60's WE300B, they were made on the circular workstations. When Charlie tried using those in the new version they could not hold a good enough vacuum. So Charlie had someone design a better one. I remember Berny Majors saying the new ones were 11% better because of the better vacuum. Lower Rp was one of the main reasons.

Well if you want a more romantic sound then use the old ones. Kind of like the sound of a good 45 amp.

I have about 1000 Black Gates left. Mostly VK, Standard and like 40 of the WKZ. Best investment ever!

  Sell the Black Gate, not special anymore, so many better* caps to buy nowadays.
