Which Japanese/ Asian manufacturers except Audio Note ( controlled by the western merchant in parts choice for the western ,"deaf morons with deep pockets" ) are using exotic passive components in their gear? Actually, it extends to all DIY amps as well. I haven't seen a single far east amp (not influenced by western gurus from AN camp ) using anything else but industrial components.

The coupling caps I like to use are most certainly 'industrial'. 660VAC, Siemens MKV at 1.5 uF were not created with the audiophile market in mind... :) Surplus/scavenged power Iron too, not to mention the old, high precision wire wound resistors.

  I bet they do. They also have a habit of dressing others designs with some embellishments and selling for premium. Well, if public is too foolish to recognize the value of original designs it deserves to pay triple for AN logo.
