Thanks..yeah the colour was just serendipitous. Found it at a 2nd hand store. And probably subconsciously rememembered Don Garber's preamp with a very similar if not the same colour.

Beautiful work! I have a pair of those chokes in my stash, waiting for time and inspiration. Thank you for supplying the inspiration! Time is another problem entirely.

I love that blue/green iridescent hammertone. Do you happen to have a brand and color name for that? I see you posted you found it at a second-hand store...what a great find! It's drop-dead gorgeous! Hoping it could still be sourced somewhere.

    Yep, Don was a world class Graphic Artist.
    (and colorist, I might add)
    When I was at the memorial, one of these (2b)
    was connected to a pair of 300B's.
    "Altec" green always looks good.
    I like the Analog Ethos color also, but since I
    live in Palm Springs, I see the green ("seafoam"), orange and cream
    everywhere.

  It was Hammerite and called middle green / verte jade.
