Not RCA.

Hi

Look at the post/pic below from IVAN303
You see the RCA on the left with the diagonal support rod? Now look at the United, which looks more like your tubes. The GEs look a little different I believe. You might have re-labeled United tubes which to my mind are superior to RCA made tubes, but only by a hair. If you want to really know for sure send your pics to Ed Sawyer here on the asylum. He is a real expert on 845. Cheers.
Marc, thanks for the kind words.
However, these Firve-branded tubes are not GE, they are an earlier type of RCA, I have seen them before. I have more pics I can post if people really want to see them. I am not sure if they were made by RCA or by Sylvania. I think Sylvania, actually, though it's hard to say for sure. I have seen them branded both ways (RCA and Sylvania, And now from Firve as well).
RCA most likely licensed the 845 design to others in general, it was not uncommon, and chances are Firve did other RCA-licensed stuff for the euro market as well.
That collection of 10 of them with nice labels is a rare stash, indeed. It's one of the brands of 845 that I don't have.

Great info. I knew you'd have the goods! :)
One pair

You should know that vintage tubes are often re-labeled. RCA did not manufacture these tubes. They re-labeled them. RCA manufactured 845 tubes have the diagonal support rod.
Hi

They might be United if they are not GE, but I never saw RCA with vertical support rods. I have many pairs of NOS RCA from the 1940s and 1950s and none have vertical support rods. If they are United that is even better than RCA.
What makes you think they are RCA?
