Lovely with female voices. Tamradio output transformers that come out of the r2r Sony.

Can you share your schematic? Not sure I agree fully with the DIY schematic on their site. Any idea on the input Z of the OPT's you used?
.
I built a clone maybe 15 years ago.
I contacted Steve Decker, and he agreed to sell me a pair of his custom OT's for a very reasonable price. He may still make them available to builders. I still have them, the secondary is labeled "6 Ohms". No recollection what the primary Z is.
I've always liked your builds. I'm sure the wiring underneath looks like the outside!
Hi John!
Long time no see, I just wanted you to know the Mastersound is still singing like Opera Maestro since it's passed through your touch! Truth be told I wanted to give a shout-out to one of the finest men in all of Northern, Fla!!!
Deaf-by-khorns, huh? That would have to be one of the very best ways to go deaf that I could possibly think of and that would be ESPECIALLY true if those Khorns were modified by my buddy John!
All my best John,

I'm not ashamed either.
and worth have to build? I have bits and pieces in the box for last 5 years (along with Musical Machine and 5 other tube amps...)
I am very happy with it. It is hard to compare though ... because what is the reason? Is it the poloprop caps only in the psu together with the tamradio sony ot. To summarize I am happy with it. Together with the Salas 6V6 it really sings.
Nice build Bas.
I've a pair of Sony TC500 outputs collecting dust not sure I'll ever do a build with them.
Pretty, hard to beat the look of a timber chassis combined with AL top.
Cheers Johno
And the execution is first rate.
Might I suggest, though, taking the inputs/outputs and power to the rear panel as in my mono blocks here?
It only takes a bit of extra measuring and a short while to accomplish.
Novus Ordo Seclorum
but since this was a decware zen clone. I decided to put it on the top plate to show the binding post just as the real zen has.
And you didn't have to put up with a two year waiting list.

About a year or so ago, I was quoted 18 months for delivery of the small Zen amp. I told the young lady at Decware that I'm not sure I'll last that long. She found no humor in my statement. I've heard two years mentioned a couple times, but can't remember exactly where I heard it. Regardless, I think most would move on to the next candidate after hearing this timeframe. The exception being those with the skills to build their own version as you have done.
of humour. That young lady should live a little and loosen up. :)
Poor gal probably hears that line or similar too often. I'll forgive her.
"Decware is a family business. This amp was named after our daughter Sarah who is also the customer service manager at Decware and one of the main people who keep this ship afloat. If you've called Decware you've probably talked to Sarah. Her kind and confident communication skills and good looks is reflected in this amplifier so we named it after her to have a little fun."
Kind of you to forgive.
