What is the value of the output tube cathode resistors that are in there now?

The entire amp
Hi Sam,I didn't build that amp but I wrote the article for the DIY section of Angela Instruments in the 90s. It's really a 45 amp wherein you can drop a 2A3 because the filament supply has enough current to accommodate it. The switch was an additional feature made by the builder. So that is where there can be a potential problem.
More info about the project can be found in my blog archive linked below.
Send me a PM here or in my blog if you need more help.

I am not sure. I have been out of the hobby for quite a while. Just getting back into it.
This was built from the JE Labs Simple 45/2A3 circa 1995.
I can take a picture of the underside of the amp if that will help.

If these resistors are 1500 ohm resistors then you want to use 45 tubes. If these resistors are 750 ohms then you want to use 2a3 tubes.

Not knowing which they are, would the 45's put less stress on the transformers than the 2A3. Looking to protect the amp.
Thanks.

Hi,
For the future, would a JJ2A3 work well in this amp?
Thanks,
David

What value resistors are in there now? I marked the ones you want to look at in the picture with a red line and a red arrow.
