You MIGHT be able to find what you desire at DECWARE.
As much USA as is possible in this world.
Link'd amp from the TOP of your power ask.....
Too much is never enough
Follow Ups:
thanks , looks nice, but it says it is a push / pull, and I didn't see a remote control.
I buy sound, not topology. IF this amp were to satisfy? I wouldn't worry from push pull to SET to whatever.
The lack of remote....now THAT matters......I need one, too......
Too much is never enough
FWIW, 95-99% of my listening is through the Directstream, which is controlled via a phone app or remote. My preamp is as basic as it gets - just a volume control and an input selector - but I almost never touch the VC. I just set it at 11:00-12:00 and control both volume and content with the app or remote. When listening to vinyl, I use the VC on the phono preamp, but when spinning records I have to get up off my lazy @ss anyway. It actually works quite well, being both musically satisfying and simple to operate. With the CJ ET3SE, sometimes I would accidentally hit a wrong button on the remote and have some difficulty trying to figure out why I was getting no sound. It was way too complex for my application.
Like you, for me it's all about the sound. My CJ preamp had far more features, but was no match for the VG LAD-L2 sonically, and as it turns out, I didn't need the features anyway.
Incidentally, I was looking at the Decware stuff and seriously considering the Torii when I ran across the Antares. Had that not happened, I probably would have bought it.
It's a Push-Pull Amplifier. And it uses Pentode Tubes, Not Triodes.
