Yes, they were built as a kit by a friend, who is no longer around unfortunately. There is someone local who is probably able to replace parts just fine. I see that your have a DRD45 (I have a pair as well). Which parts would you recommend replacing? thanks,
j.
Follow Ups:
For sure the Capacitors. There are not that many of them... The Iron is fine, as are the resistors. So, it's not that big of a deal. Make sure all of the solder connections are good (No cold solder Joints etc.)-- Also pay attention to the tube sockets, clean them and re-tighten the tube pin holes.
I had DRD45s at one time, but sold them when I got a pair of the Ultimate DRD45s (Star Chiefs. I built both pairs.

Looking over the parts list, I assume the Elna capacitors would be good candidates for replacing, as well as the Solen. I replaced the JJ Electrolytic with same part (tried a different electrolytic but didn't like it) a couple of years ago, so it should be good for awhile.
But what do you think about replacing the ceramic cap - do you think it needs replacing?
I am assuming that the ACS oil cap should be good, but perhaps that's a bad assumption?
Thanks,
j.
You could skip the ceramic Cap, which should be good... What you should do is get the amp running first by replacing most of the Caps (won't hurt)... Then revisiting the solder connections and Tube sockets. Then you can decide on the Oil Cap... Won't hurt --- If you do this yourself it will be much cheaper than paying someone else....
