I was just a lad of 16 when I first heard these tunes:
Gene Vincent-"Lotta Lovin"
Eddie Cochran-"Summer Time Blues"
Eddie Cochran-"C'mom Everybody"
Follow Ups:
Thanks. Appreciate the posting of some well remembered, pleasurable music.
Hi L.A.
Your "well remembered, pleasurable music" observation is spot on!!
Agree 100%...-Thanks
We deserve a generational and genre respite from the dominant postings and photos.
Do you remember the name (initials) of the dominant poster who preceded the current one? He had wide ranging musical tastes, he lived in California and his claim to fame was his long attachment to the Grateful Dead 'family' stretching back to Garcia's time as a folkie/bluegrass player in the Palo Alto (Stanford) area.
Hey LA,
IIRC, the poster's handle was LWR. I used to read his posts over at Central about train locomotives. He was very knowledgeable!
Unfortunately, he passed away some time ago. RIP..LWR
Ah, yes, Larry Roberts. I do remember that he 'passed' several years ago. A great musical loss to this forum (his politics were a different matter), for which the forum has never recovered and in fact has slid severely backwards.
Thanks for remembering Larry's 'handle'.
