Well Geoff, I do admit I have a lot of time on my hands being in semiretirement. Pictureguy seems to insist that he won't believe in or try degaussing before he has an answer WHY. This IMHO is a ridiculous position to take. Imagine taking that position on everything, never trying anything before you are told why to your satisfaction. Utterly ridiculous. And yes Pictrueguy, it does go against my world view and philosophy as it does most peoples. Never try anything or believe anything before you are given a good answer why. Am I missing something? The universe appears to work on the principle of 'cause and effect'.
An effect without cause? Irrational.
This is NOT to say that no cause exists for what some persons note, but no cause has yet been floated which accounts for the observations.
