Since most people never do a change out of their wiring, few would be able to answer that question. When even moving into a new home, there are so many things going on that it is difficult to attribute wiring sonic changes with changes in room decor and equipment placement.
I did rewire my sound rooms and there definitely is a break in period. Same as when I changed out the duplex outlets. Considering that many live in homes which may be 30 to 50 years old, I would say that many will never live the experience.
I did have an acquaintance who worked for GE industrial and when the utility company came to change his street hook up (he lives about a quarter mile from the ocean on the windward side to boot), he asked the line man to sub a copper wire of the same gauge (which he provided) instead of the aluminum cable they normally use. The difference was 'staggering' according to his feedback. His comments included that even his refrigerator seemed to be running colder.

Then it must be true. No other possibilities exist.
Thanks for providing such irrefutable facts.

him to pull out the wire and do a DBT test instead. Incidentally, in repeating this story to a local electrical utility engineer, he informed me that switching the aluminum wire with the same gauge of copper wire will increase the amperage capability by about 60%. The normal 100 amp service line will have an increased capability of a 16o amps. But I forgot, there are no other possibilities, are they?
