Crown Macro-tech MA5002VZ VS Crown Macro reference which one sounds better for audiophile use
1) If you use one of these for a full range sound(not subwoofer only)?
which one will be more musical or better ?
2) Is the fan noise of the Crown MA5002VZ very loud for audiophile use ? have somebody replace the fan ? if yes which type is most silent ?3) which Crown power amp was the very best made for audiophile home-use ?

I'm listening to it right now pairing with Krell EVO 202 pre amp while driving the Thiel CS 3.6 speakers. Compared to Krell EVO 402 power amp, surprisingly it has a nice top end with clear and neutral midrange. Although, it could use a little bloom on the midbass, but the bottom end is just as tight but sounding a little hard. But what do you expect, the Krell cost 8 time as much.
What I liked about the Crown K2 power amp is the BCA circuitry a power supply management circuit design requiring no cooling fans even when the amp runs at peak power. The K Series has energy efficient (green circuits) features that are not offered in other models, when the amplifier is in energy saving idle mode it uses as little as 12watts of ac power, another example of Crown's research and development advancements.
If a thing's worth doing, it's worth doing well

I've been running Crown MA 2400's for years and haven't been able to distinguish it from some Kenwood (L07), Accuphase, and Threshold stuff I've used. Yes, the fans were a problem but I moved the amps into an adjacent room a long time ago.
Granted, according to the folks in the Cable Asylum and Isolation Ward, I'm not a true audiophile. So certainly take it for what it's worth.
I think if you were to measure noise and distortion output at 1 to 10 watt levels, you'd probably find measurements of all the Macro Tech amps to be very close to one another. They're all clean enough for some of the world's most famous venues. I'm certain they'll all be good enough for your venue. That is unless you are a big fan of ruby encrusted inter connects, rosewood cable suspenders, and electricity "purifying" power conditioners and cords.

: )
I remember the reference written up in Stereophile.
I would never suggest a "pro" amp for home audio because of cooling fans.
That constant whirring of a fan would drive me nutz
I believe the reference would be more for home audio/studio and has
quiet fan/s.
The fans in my amps are inaudible the moment music plays at any level.
Also they do not run all the time.
Well, I mean Crown Macro reference(=Amcron Macro reference/Crown Studio reference)
