I have the distinct fortune to know and hang out with a friend of mine, Terry Welty, who is Geezer Butler's tech, from Black Sabbath, who currently lives in Chesterfield, MO. I was at my repairman's place of business whe I recognized Geezer's 5-string Vigier bass, and followed the path into the room where this monster was housed. I couls KILL SMALL ANIMALS with this behemoth! Feast your eyes!

HUH,
I thought Geezer used a Rickenbecker?
I rate him as one of the best bassist around, up there with Steve Harris
He previously used custom Vigier basses, now he's with Lakland out of Chicago. They have a pretty liberal loaner policy, no endorsement deals, and I remember having a discussion with a dude from California who had a session planned at Sun Studios in Memphis. He wanted to arrange an endorsement deal with Lakland because he'd tried one and really liked it. He contacted them, they explained their policy to him, and offered to loan him a Lakland to use at Sun, in exchange for an in-depth review they could use in advertising and promoting. He got the instrument, used it on the session, happily, and submitted his positive review. The company got their bass back, he submitted his review, and described it as a good experience all the way around. I like it when things work out well!

Impressive Ampeg array...
At one time in the 90's (before my divorce don't you know!) I had 4 90's Ampeg heads (2 SVT 3 pros, 1 SVT 3, 1 Ampeg 400T) and I had 4 stacks (2 8-10's, 1 4-10" and a 1-18", and a 1-15" + 1-10" w/ single 18") before my world came down. That will be the closest I will ever get to assembling this behemoth. Short of Michael Anthony and the dude in Anthrax, I had the biggest Ampeg rig in the 90's... Of course what you see here trumps all the stock Ampegs by a country mile! He's got dual 15"s on bottom and 4-12"s on top, all EV. That's the kicker...EV's are IMO the best bass amp speakers for the pro stage. Awesome, off the charts here, and proud to say I am affiliated, indirectly!

Thank you Fendy.
