It adds up and you can lose track.
is using a unique tag in Quicken to readily identify and quantify recurring purchases. This is just my wife's AMEX but all can be viewed collectively and over any slice of time.
I have no trouble with Qobuz automatically renewing each year. Note I make a distinction between the recurring subscription and download purchases. You don't always find providers lowering their price over time. :)
Follow Ups:
I had a company provided Corporate AMEX when I was working but had my own years prior. I didn't see the value of paying their annual fee so I dropped it. My main Chase Amazon VISA card accumulates very worthwhile rewards since I do a lot of Amazon shopping. Similarly the Chase Marriott card is great for hotel points.
I don't have THAT many subscriptions that I lose track but I can see how it could easily happen.
We each have one to individually collect Delta Skymiles for travel. Now that I'm retired, I won't be flying as much as before but my wife's position requires frequent flying.
Card perks help maintain our Medallion level which is great for seating and upgrades. Our upcoming flight to London this summer was paid for that way. For places that don't accept AMEX, we have a Chase Freedom card just like Kevin Hart. ;)
