New 24/96 remix dropped today. They corrected the stereo so that it is no longer all left or all right, but John/Paul/George/Ringo vocals now are centered with harmony around them. I could also feel the bass, which is pretty amazing since I was listening on my small system. They used the same techniques as used for the Get Back video and Let It Be remix.
Eleanor Rigby no longer cuts all the way right when Paul starts singing the first verse something I always found annoying and never felt was even done right if that was the effect they wanted.
Just take a listen and give your impressions.
And I'm hoping next up is Rubber Soul.
Follow Ups:
Rather amazing, but perhaps a little over the top, a little "more real than real."
Did George Martin want that much bass?

I don't know if George Martin did, but Paul did. I remember reading when the original CDs finally came out his comment was "where's the bass?"
All of the reissues have turned up the bass. My Sgt Pepper LP actually blew out a speaker.
Maybe a little over the top, but just a little. If they had the capability to do multi-track the way we do today my guess is it would more like this new release. Stereo was still an afterthought on this one.
The Beatles: Revolver
The Beatles: Rubber Soul
Yes: Close To The Edge
Led Zeppelin: Led Zeppelin II
Free: Free
My friend and colleague Chris Huston co-engineered Led Zeppelin II.

First digital mix of the Beatles that matches - or dare I say even surpasses - my MFSL LP Beatles Box set.

Needs a remix the most. Fingers crossed.
