Went to a jazz concert last night. It's a very impressive building.
I had a seat right in the dead center of the orchestra, of the performance structure actually. I wasn't too pleased with the acoustics. Too bright sounding, the percussion sounds didn't seem to quite arrive when they should of.
It is a very highly reviewed venue. I had this problem once at our school auditorium, that the dead center (actually a bit forward of the actual center) would have the two loudspeakers firing down in synch, which was just too strident.
Oh well, no more center seats for me :-)

:-)
I prefer centre seats or near to - across the stage.
And, slightly forward of the centre of the hall on its divisor axis.
Depends on each venue, but ours are all here in Canberra and I'm now across most of them.

What does That mean?
I like to be in the middle but a few rows back so that the musician are at my line of sight.
