One of my current favorites.
Follow Ups:
It captivates you initially, but then you start feeling cheated.
Heavy emphasis on skill, which becomes tedious after first minute or so. Long drum solo disjointed and going nowhere, gives you that "Enough already!" moment. That man is definitely not Buddy Rich.
All in all - I would not want to listen to it again, once was much more, than enough. I don't like soulless music.

Is there a particular reason you felt it necessary to post a snarky opinion. Perhaps if you don't like something other people like you could just ignore it? I posted it because I like it and some other people on various forums also like it. Simon Philips is a very good drummer often considered one of the very best in the business which is why so so SO many groups have hired him from rock to jazz.
Buddy Rich was a phenom - yes but not everyone has to be a phenom to be enjoyable.
Now please post your video of you doing a single damn thing in music that is any good and better than Simon Philips playing drums here and then we can talk.
This is opinions forum. Don't take yourself too seriously.
So says the pot
