  One of the all-time great pianists, Antonio Barbosa, is from Brasil. His Chopin Scherzi were some of the very best to make recording. (I'm almost tempted to digitize some clips from vinyl, and post on YouTube.)

        What a band! Gene Ammons and Al Cohn were in that band. Jimmy Guiffre too.
        
        Oscar Pettiford, Lou Levy and Shelly Manne. Terry Gibbs too.
        
        The Brothers were Stan Getz, Serge Chaloff, Zoot Sims and Herbie Steward.
        
        Bill Perkins told be about the day Woody called him to replace Stan Getz when Stan left the band. That was the day he decided he wasn't going to be an engineer after all!!
