If you have the necessary electronics to run another set of maggies, maybe this is a good excuse to upgrade to LRS + for the music system and use the LRS for the TV.I have a pair of Tekton Lore for my bedroom doing TV and Music duty. They are easy to drive with a small amp and the drivers are well positioned for listening from bed.

I'd be interested in your comments on a camparison between LRS and LRS+ driven by the same front end.

I've been visiting ... that site ... and ASR has the LRS+'s having less robust response in the bass. One thing that has surprised me about the Fosi v3 monos is they have juice for the bass and I am getting really great control of the LRS's from 60hz up, compared to the Fosi v3 stereo. Torture tracks and well-known orchestral recordings are leaving me wanting to say, the LRS's (with a sub, of course) can punch. A 17x12 room does wonders.
So easy to switch back and forth with the Fosi units btw. Just face them on the shelf backside out front. I use banana plugs for speaker cabling. It's maybe 60 seconds to hit the mute on the preamp and switch between the mono and stereo Fosi's.
I have no problem with a 30-day return policy deep session with the LRS+ and LRS. I'm thinking Spring. I've got my listening room locked-in these days.
When Telarc and Dorian recordings from the early 90's have realistic tympani thwacks, you know you got it. They gunned those bass thwacks so they sound like someone just hit your house with a truck. The temptations of peak CD.

It really is amazing what this world is coming to. Fosi V3 mono's powering my 1.7's in a 14X24 room quite well thank you. And my Fosi V3 stereo powering my MMG's in the bedroom setup (and getting impactful bass out of those ol' girls) even without a subwoofer. Obviously there is a glitch in the matrix.

That's a very unblemished report. And Kal seems to really, really enjoy noting that the amps ($2300 *a pair*) are each essentially a few small modules hooked up with computer-type board connectors.
"There is zero gushing about point-to-point wiring in this component review" needs to be italicized as a header now at the top of Kal's reviews.
I was almost scowling at the price of the Buckeye's. Then I realized what I was doing and laughed.
Adjusting for inflation that's about what I paid for my very first nice amp -- 30+ years ago. When I was broke.
Too funny, this hobby. One decade they second mortgage your house, next decade, you just have to got to the ATM real quick.

The Audio Precision AUX-0025 passive low-pass filter will not give us the whole result in terms of distorsion. IMD is certainly not very low and higher than good AB power amps.
it's been demonstrated that THD does not correlate to what we hear.
Some like to game a largely irrelevant metric.
Agreed! :-))
But, I suggest, the harmonic profile correlates highly.
Monotonically decreasing delivers the best sound.
