I was an Apogee dealer back in the day. I personally owned Stages, Calipers, Duettas.

Loved the line, sold a bunch, but they were a little fragile. You had to be careful moving them around.

I have to bring them home 200 miles. The only way I can put them is vertical position on the sides back seat of the car. I hope it wont hurt them.They are pristine one owner and have no buzz of any sort. If they will last a year or two they are worth it to me (at $800) since life is short. I'm planning to drive them with Simaudio W-10 monos ( 700W ) Part of the reason I bought them is to make use of amps sitting idle.
Kind of overkill for violin concertos ...

  A truly magnificent speaker....But they are fragile as MR said. My Duetta's rattled all the time.....The place I bought them at near Lincoln Center eventually exchanged them for Magnepans.....The Calipers were at a whole other level....Close friend has the same problem...Hope your amps are stable enough to drive them...they drop to a 2 OHM load. Good luck! Keep us informed ...

  Been a long, long time since I heard Apogees. One of the local salons here hosted a stop on the debut tour for the 'Stage?'. It was their smallest model for apartment dwellers. Mr. Bloom was there as well. They sounded freaking great being driven with some big Classe' monos.
