I owned a pair for many years. Powered by a Futterman H3A, which I still have in storage, the combination was simply magical. The only reason I no longer have them is that rectifier diodes in the voltage multiplier circuit failed twice. The power supplies are encased in wax and I decided I wasn't going to melt the wax out to repair them a third time. The process takes hours and I had enough.
Follow Ups:
I had the same combo for many years. At one point, I was powering two pairs of KLH9s with a Futterman H3aa. I had more than one KLH power supply go bad. A few hours in the oven at about 175 degrees was enough to liquefy the wax, which could then be poured off into a tin foil roasting pan. I did not find the procedure overly tedious. I still have a pan full of the potting wax in my basement. For the past many years I have been listening to Sound Lab full range ESLs powered by an Atma-sphere amp, both of which are heavily modified. OTLs with ESLs since the early 1970s.
Quad 67 have a similar construct-
but spacing the components above the PCB and mounting it where air can circulate - and the risk is reduced, and the components last longer...

What about building a power supply from scratch?
