Did it ever really go away? Maybe it was just in hibernation.Just today, Verizon notified us to expect a $15 monthly increase next month. That, after a $12 increase in 2023/2024.
Also today, Amazon told us the vitamins we get on auto delivery are increasing 35 percent with the next delivery.
The dentist called this afternoon to set up the semi-annual cleaning appointment. It will now be $249, up from $200 the last visit.
Edit I: I see, too, that 30-year-mortgage rates today have topped 7 percent for the first time since May.
Edit II: Just in: Microsoft said it's increasing the price of its Microsoft 365 bundle for consumers by $3 a month. So it's going from $99 a year to $135 a year - voila, a 36 percent increase!

As the myth of global warming takes hold food prices will continue to increase. This increase will likely price many people out of certain types of produce, which will lead to farmers abandoning specific types of produce due to lack of profits. Eventually variety will reduce as prices continue to rise. Profiters will probably continue to create 'fake' types of food and introduce them into the market place slowly to supplement profits.
Perhaps we are taking the slow walk into a Soylent-Green type of world.

One can adopt a philosophy that climate change is a fiction but Mother Nature always bats last and really doesn't care what intentional ignorance one might parrot, you can't talk your way out of a natural disaster. All the maga flags in the world won't stop a super charged weather event. .

He just brought peace to Middle East and his next step is ending a war in Ukraine. That might take a couple weeks, so please be patient... the inflation is going to be tougher - so maybe in a month we will see the results.
Our rates went from $2,561 in 2023 to $3,256 in 2024 to $4,370 for 2025, a 34.2%!And no, we aren't in a high fire zone.

Once high inflation hit in 2022-23, it never "got better". Just, "less worse".
You have to think like a supplier. When people get used to prices going up, it's easier to keep raising prices. Hello!
"Inflation Reduction Act" my ass. Everybody knew that inflation couldn't/wouldn't stay at 8 - 9 percent. Politicians just took advantage of the opportunity to make themselves look good. Fortunately, enough Americans didn't buy the scam.

And why not, if idiots pay it?
We are on the low end of their customer distribution, but I am looking at ways of reducing. If I have my way then instead of 10% increase they will get a 20% cut.
I get my teeth cleaned six times a year (every other month) - I don't know if my babe dentist is giving me a quantity discount, but I pay $111 per cleaning - and less than that if I pay cash. AND two of those cleanings are free with my dental insurance.
... Paid for by retirees' insurance.

It's pretty amazing. After brushing and flossing, the Waterpic gets out all kinds of little bits.
They kept calling, I told them I was dealing with a lot of shit (truth) and I would call them... so eventually I did... it was quick, and they found no issues.Why suffer more often?
