Proposition - when we listen to music we're not only hearing the acoustic waves in the room or headphones, we're also listening to everything in the room, everything in other rooms, and everything in the world. I'm referring here to things completely unrelated to the audio system per se. Don't shoot me, I'm just the messenger. Audiophiles generally dismiss anything that doesn't fit what they believe. Only natural. :-)
