  I know the A77 is "early '70s" (maybe mid), because, as a music student in Switzerland in '73 and '74, my mentor had two of them. Cosmetic differences tell what "vintage" they are.
  
  Here's my 2251 TT and A77 Mk-IV, both acquired in about '78. TT used, for $50 (plus cart), and A77 new, 2-track 7-1/2 and 15 ips.
