I don't know what you mean by 'high resolution'. I use horn loaded speakers because they have wide dynamic range, low THD and maximum output that direct radiators can't approach. I am not an audiophile (I cringe when I hear the term) nor am I a would-be acoustical engineer. I'm a professional acoustical engineer/loudspeaker designer.
Follow Ups:
I'm a would-be-almost-has-been-amateur-acoustical engineer with EE background and professional photographer. LOL.
At least you didn't use the A word! :)
Would that be ADVOCATE?
Audiophile. Definition: Someone who'll believe anything.
AXPONA!
Totally nuts. Steve Guttenberg is a prime example of an audiophool who loves anything that's outrageously expensive while having zero technical expertise. He's no Ethan Winer.
I like Ethan Winer. One of the few truth tellers with devices and DATA! No bovine sediment from that guy!
