I was guessing low, so I'm off by an octave. Not my issue either way, but I have been recommending a Kappa 15C for 15 years for hifi applications.
I have owned many pair of Peavey FH-1's and SP-1's. Best bang for the used buck for horns.

Claude, yes, and following your recommandations and measurements I ended up with a pair of Kappa 15C in there, and the combination sounds soooo much better than a LaScala bass bin with a K33. It's important to say it because you often see "poor man's lascala" attached to the FH1 yet, as you well know, it is a quite superior bass bin. (I've had LaScalas in the past, my current system being their ultimate evolution, where nothing remains of the original speaker!! ^^)
I used to call them "cheap Scalas" which applied now more than ever. Di that I still have 2 pairs and too many other options.
Getting the baffle step down low doesn't matter all that much. So long as the radiating plane is less than 1/2 wavelength from the wall behind the speaker you get quarter-space loading anyway, which amounts to the same thing.
Agreed, but still I like the subjective effect of the temporary wings I've placed on the side of one of my bass horns. Sounds like it makes the bass (well, the mid bass) more "punchy" in my room. I haven't measured (yet), so it might be placebo?
I was never a Reagan fan, but I always trust (my ears) but verify (with measurements).
