That is a Community 212 sub. The drivers are 12" and have triple spiders on them. You can see one of them where the dust cap would normally be.

I did run sound there a couple of times and my band used to practice in the storage room (trash room)for awhile. That was back in the early 80's.
Are you Al that used to be with Alpha Sound and Light at the Music Scene?

I'm having trouble finding information on the "212 subwoofer". Was this the predecessor of the SBS22? IOW, is this serious pro reinforcement gear, or weekend DJ type stuff?

That would be it. It came in various packages over the years, but the guts remained the same.
I don't know if I would consider it serious pro sound. but it did fill in the bottom for a RS220 full range cabinet.
The biggest problem is that the foam surround on the early drivers would rot off. I think the newer versions used something other than foam for that reason.
