Ampex Signature mid or widerange mystery speakers..?

I can't seem to locate a maker of a pair of 8" Alnico mid & widerange drivers from a top line Ampex Signature console. This Consol had the EL-34 amps, 803B Altecs, & EV-T-35B's. The drivers in question have A72210 & 72210 on the cones & 668-0022 on the magnet covers. They are pinkish color similar to EV. I have never seen them before anywhere, & only thing I can find says they are JBL..? what the heck..? I can not even match the codes properly, I must be blind...The pics of them are on my other computer or I would just post those also. If you know these codes & drivers it would sure help me solve what these drivers are & if usable to me. These are from about 1957-1959.

    Nope, No whizzer on these critters.. Do the EV SP8B got em..?

      or there was a whizzerless 8" EV midrange that I don't know.
      
      Plenty of legacy EV literature at the Telex/EV site (link below).
      Worth a peruse... perusal (can "peruse" be a noun?)
