I listen to my el84 from all types of music but most particularly jazz and classical. I used to have the Epos 11 as my speakers but would need something better that can give me more bass. any suggestions?

Vintage Klipsch Forte with NOS Dutch tubes in your amp will be heaven. However if you like the challenge of constantly looking for "better" speakers the Forte with a nice low watt Amperex/Philips equipped amplifier will ruin that for you. Have fun.
Its the only solution short of huge expensive speakers...
Lets the EL84 and main speakers do their best with less distortion...

I have been on a quest for the best sounding fairly high efficiency speakers for my SE el84 amp, and I just found a pair of Jensen speakers, the TF-3c . The best yet for bass and mid-range- I just got new caps frpm Parts Express, these should help the high end. Previously tried a/d/s, mordaunt , kef , sansui, pioneer. What a surprise- the Jensen won hands down.
I have a Dynaco SCA35 which has EL84s in ultraliniar nad puts out about 10 watts per channel. I listen to classical and you need high efficency to get it to sound anything like an orchestra.
Sansui SP2000 speakers worked suprisingly well but there is not a lot of base below 60hz. I would stick with high efficency speakers from the tube eara. JBL, Electrovoice and Jensen have some nice offerings. Warfdale speakres (W60 or W90) also sound quite good with Jaz or classical. The W90's would be my pick of the Warfdales if you have the room. You might also want a supertweeter with them. The sand-filled baffels are qute effective.
JBL Lancer 77's sounded quite good with jazz and classical when I had them. I normally do not like passive radiators but the base on the Lancers sounded great.
Note that I am a vintage collector and own or have owned everything I suggested.

got myself the same sp2000 but tried it and did not like it. what changes did you do to make it sing?
have you looked at QUADs the 21L2 and 22 L 2 are really excellent. the 22's are rated down to 30Hz
