I promised Bert that all my details will be shared between us and maybe whatever I might feel free to post on his website. Please go to his website, or maybe you can ask Bert what he has done through email. His crossover is proprietary. I do know of a trick he uses that I felt is essential to making it sound good, but it is his intellectual property, not mine. So I must not divulge what he has done.

Hi Kurt,
Thanks for keeping the information to yourself but regarding this it does not make a difference. I have used your idea's to see how it changed the tonal balance to my taste. I did not use the same filter idea's in the new filter though as these showed an impedance minimum of 1,5 ohms.
I redesigned the filter completely with a flat impedance (between 9-5 ohms) so it is no problem if you would share your idea's to other people. I do not think it will be of any use to them though as the main filter parts you still use within your filter are hidden in the epoxy.

Yes, there really is no point in me saying what I did beyond what I posted on your website's forum. The overall crossover remains hidden to me.
I never did an impedance measurement, and I never thought that taking it down to 1.5 ohms at the high end would turn out to be a good thing to me. But that's the way it went.
I wonder if your new crossover could be installed in with the old crossover as an upgrade kit. Or maybe I should just leave well enough alone.
Kurt
Hi Kurt,
The new crossover will be available as upgrade using the same external parts you received before and the main parts of the hidden section. An extra "hidden" part will be the upgrade.
