Great midrange, efficeincy and imaging. Bigtime rolloff under 100. Works great with a sub.

one might be able to use MJK's sheets or AJ horn to roughly figure out things
Karlson's K12 rolled off below 80 but could deliver a lot of power from there up
can you get usable output at 60Hz in the corner? --- have you made an impedance plot?

Not accounting for any effects of corner loading or K-slot shape, I get ~1.38 ft^3 net/~64.2 Hz Fb with a half space ~80 Hz F3 and ~3 dB peak/~110 Hz, mirroring his impressions. Looks like this driver needs at least 8 ft^3 to get to 40 Hz.

--know SP12B has a weak motor - just curious how it fared against Bates impressions and Z curvegot SP12 if not pounded them too much with modern music - -wonder if Fulmer's pipe has several deep dips in the corner with appropriate driver - maybe MJK sheets would sim it better than AJ - did you get an acceptable sim on Fulmer pipe?

Greets!Well, what I posted earlier was info from when we discussed this pipe years ago, so didn't sim it or Fulmer's. In looking at Terry's driver's measured specs though, they are way different than Bate's driver, which got me looking at Terry's plans, which are a bit different also. I came up with a line length = ~59.25", Vp = ~1.817 ft^3 net and tuning between ~46 - 50 Hz depending on where the acoustic center of the K-slot actually is. The sim would look pretty much like BoxPlot's vented sim with one octave smoothing and Ql set to 100, so nominally flat in half space with a steep roll off below ~90 Hz.
Anyway, with a Z peak between 85-90 ohms/~42.5 Hz, there's no impedance plot correlation with Bates'.
Any corner loaded speaker will have peaks/dips due to room modes unless it's designed to null them out.
MJK's can't do corners unless I missed a revision.

So no plots were made. The one room where I can put them in the corners were to far apart about 14'.
WHen I get some more time I'll pull them out. The SP12B seems to be a great driver. I believ they are about 97db/watt. which workes well with my 2a3 amp. I also tried them with a 180 watts SS amp and a modded Dynaco st70.
I originally wanted to try an Open baffle with them. but couldnt live with 35" wide pannels for now.
I might try the Voight pipe design next for them, I know I'll get bass from that.
