In my odyssey to listen to high efficiency speakers I have not been able to find anyone with some Klipsch speakers in the heritage line I can listen to. I am willing to go as far as Tennessee if someone has a pair and doesn't mind me dropping by.

Follow Ups:
Paully,
I am a Klipsch fan. All speakers have their strengths and weaknesses. It becomes a game of trade-offs. What a Khorn, or LaScala, or Belle, or Conrwall do better than any other speaker I have tried is make you feel like the musician is in the room with you.
I use a Mac C2200 pre and MC240 mk iv amp with Belles with an ALK x-over, and am very happy.
Over the years I have tried other speakers but keep coming back to the Klipsch house sound. Fwiw, Altec 19s also hit my sweet spot, but even I have a problem with their looks, whereas my Belles are beautiful, imho.
Peace,
TommyK
Poly why are u after klipsch?
Don't see what you can do with that.
I had a pair 20 years ago,
i did not like them at all.
I thought Paully was looking to audition speakers for himself and didn't realize he was actually looking for speakers to send to you? You should probably go ahead and tell Paully what kind of speakers you would be happy with so you won't be disappointed. :)
Just want to let him know my opinion
and my experience. i remember buying
myself some K after listening to them...
At the time i had not yet listened to
what i considered much better stuff.
Don't know about recent K.
but he wasn't asking for peoples opinions of Heritage Klipsch, he was asking if anyone knew where he could listen to some.
Paully, no matter what anybody tells you about ANY Loudspeaker might as well be hearsay, in the end it's YOUR EARS that make the final determination Period!!! I used to live in Georgia, Mableton to be exact, in Fact, there used to be an Authorized Klipsh dealer in the Cumberland Mall, can't remember the name of the Place for the Life of Me, I must be getting old LOL. Anyway send me an email would yah??? James Brown

Loud is Beautiful if it's Clean!
And they no longer carry the Heritage line. For some reason tt seems like the one in Macon might, not sure. I will call them tomorrow. Thanks!
Paul
Bummer, I hate it when manufacturers don't keep their sites up to date! This just happened to me with Panasonic and Toshiba. :^(

If you want to listen to Klipsch speakers in Tennessee I suggest you stay in Georgia.
And they say Chickamauga made a racket.
But I finally got it. Take it your not a klipsch fan. I may be, or not, no way to know until I hear one (or two).
Paul
Paul---I know a fella in Knoxville who has Klipsch Jubilee motion picture theater speakers. Now those are VERY good speakers but Klipsch consumer stuff is pretty good at best and often downright wretched.
My opinion ya understand.
.
60s Soul Music, early Rock and Roll, Thin Lizzy, movies, showtunes. Ben-Hur; a good speaker gotta pass the Ben-Hur test.
What speakers do you have in your system, which high effeciency do you like? I am going to go listen to some in the near future, I hope, but was still curious.
Paul---I've owned Klipsch in the past---LaScalas, Cornwalls and Hereseys. Of the three the only one I still consider a good speaker is the Cornwall. But when I was young and dumb I liked LaScalas a great deal.
I'm very keen on Altecs, I have four Altec hi-fis going. One uses Model Nineteens, one uses 890C Boleros, one uses Heath AS-21s (Altec 9844 monitorss in furniture cabinets) and one uses 605As. These are all old speakers though, the newest are the Nineteens and they were made in 1976.
If y'all can get up to Lexington Ky you can hear them.
That said I must say that the Klipsch Heritage speakers have formidable virtues---outstanding clarity and dynamics. But they have a burr to them in the mids that raises my hackles, what I call "earwire". The better bass and more robust tonal balance of the Khorn and Cornwall smooth over this roughness but the bass shy LaScala and Heresey really put this skilsaw quality out front.
My opinions ya understand.
Well, I am hoping to experience the whole thing first hand. The Altecs come highly recommended but have yet to hear those myself. Sounds like an excuse to visit Kentucky...
Do you know any good websites on the older Altecs? I'll go do a Google search in the meantime. I did some research on them a while back and they are out of my price range but I would still like to read up.
nt
why wouldn't I just turn up the volume on a set out here in California and let you listen to the out there in Georgia?
Ok, bad joke, but I do admire your tenacity in checking them out. BTW, I'd not limit myself to Klipsch, but you'd do well to listen to all the top end speakers you can to get an idea of what you're in for - not to mention the size needed to get them to sound great in a room the size you intend to use them.
Cheers,
David
And have heard quite a bit. Plus audio clubs, etc... But for whatever reason I can't fin anyone with Klipsch nearby. But I will keep at it.
also ask over at Klipsch Forums
Thanks.
