I've had this recording for a long time now, but I couldn't find the disk nor find the .DMG file that I had for it on my very old Mac computer. But today I gave it another shot, starting with the portable backup disk. The problem is that the backup has security protections on it and I need my credentials from the old computer, which I have, but no way of entering them.
So, I gave another go at finding the disk and I found it in the same pile of CDs and DVDs I'd looked through 5 times already. The problem is I was looking for it in a case, but I found this stray disk and it was a DVD-R and I knew it had to be it. Sure enough it was.
I had to set up my Oppo 93/Outlaw 1050 to play it since it plays best in 5.1 channel direct. Those were the old rules of DVD-A, no full-res digital streams allowed, only analog out. I found two pairs of RCAs, no need for center channel nor sub as it was only 4 channel quad, I hooked it all up and hit play and the heart started thumping. It was a blast to hear it that way again after 10+ years. All I needed was a now legal fat joint and I'd be all set, but I didn't. I just listened, loud, through the whole thing. Clare Torry never sounded so good. There are a lot of cues on this that you just don't hear on even the latest 24/192 recording. This was done by Alan Parsons with the original masters in Abbey Road Studio, but was unauthorized. And of course the surround sound. A little hokey but it puts you right in it. A few places where the sound just bounces between speakers, but others where voice/instrument are placed outside.
So my question is how do I back this up again? It is an unprotected DVD-A that I had burnt myself from the .DMG that I had. How do I take the disk and put it back on the computer as a dmg file? Major problem is that I don't have any disk readers at the moment except on my very old computer. It barely works and freezes constantly.

Any chance that you can make a copy for me? Feel free to send a PM.
Why not have DVD Audio Extractor rip it to a FLAC or an AIFF file?
Will that preserve the 4 channels?
