But here's how it works for the SA-11S3: The top panel is very easy to remove. You only have to take out the two screws in the back that attach the top panel to the back panel. The top panel will then slide front-to-back, up and out. It may not seem like it at first but just stick with it.Gerry
UPDATE: I took a look at the SA10 back panel and it has those same two screws holding the top plate, so it looks like the above procedure should work.

Thank you Gerry, you were correct and I was able to remove the cover easily and installed some FO.Q TA-10 damping tape while it was removed.
I'm glad it worked! Somewhat ironically, for the first time in about 14 years, I no longer own a Marantz SACD player. I just sold my SA11-S3 and I'm going down the rabbit hole of SACD playback via an external DAC. See my SACD Game Changer thread above.
