It is in fact very heavy, was purchased new from a authorized dealer, out of state, I am retired and I was kind of hoping it would last as long as I do lol
Follow Ups:
Music Direct has 60 day return policy.
Most Dealers don't, store credit is all you can expect.
If it started acting up within that time frame, I would try to get a refund or exchange, not repair.
Even if re-stocking fee applies.
Then order from MD for protection.
If not, maybe UPS or Fedex can pack it for you for warranty repair.
That would have to be set-up through the Dealer.
Save your back too!
It is about 3 years old, not purchased from Music Direct, I talked to my dealer and he says he has sold many of these and has never heard of a problem but it is covered by a 5 year warranty.Time to hook up my back up Sony SCD-1 and call Marantz I guess
Consult Marantz- keep us posted on this matter.
I have a Marantz sa-ki and the transport is a brand new device. If you put a "cleaning" cd in there, it may never come out. Nice machine, so I would be careful with it. Plus you have a warranty to boot. Have your dealer send it in. Good Luck!
There is so little clearance with that disc drawer, I doubt a cleaning disc would even get in the SA-10
