Yes I liked the painting but the music sounded like early 90's techno and I thought it was weak and lacked detail and any complexity. I like the art in the YT vid a lot too.

Hi Awe-d-o-file !
Yes this full synthetic music have some minor common points with early 90` techno music , especial with German minimal techno from early 90`, after all it is underground minimal style with some dark ambient background passages .
Best Regards !

I'm old and have loved odd stuff since John Cage ,Zappa, early Kraftwerk, Throbbing Gristle and the like. I love older reggae and dub. I love Adrian Sherwood.
Here is one I liked back in the 90's. Cheers and thanks for your posts. I've posted here plenty in the past and you can see what I like.

Bill Laswell?
From his album Basslines to Material, Tabla Beat and on and on. I have a lot of his stuff. Lo Def Pressure is a fav.
ET
He's had an incredible output of good stuff. This is urban Gnawa music
from Morocco, Aisha Kandisha's Jarring Effects from their album
"Shabeesation." Regards,
J.R.
been a fan of Axiom for many years, have their Axiom Ambient 2 disc set, highly recommended...

Nice!

Are choice items from Axiom. "Hallucination Engine" has a delightful
rap by William Burroughs of all people. And "Apocalypse" is of course
The Master Musicians of Joujouka, first recorded by Brian Jones. Music
not to be taken lightly. Regards,
J.R.
When Hallucination Engine came out I was unaware and saw it in a store and was so happy Trilok was working w/Laswell and bought it. I had a sick car audio system then: three amps, tons of power, old AR's I refoamed and bypassed the x-over in the back of a hatchback as subs, great separates in the front w/tweeters installed in the air vents to point right at you. My girlfriend at the time and I cranked it in the parking lot. I still remember it so clearly.

I have one of the Master Musicians of Jajouka albums. Very good.

That in Germany? Seems pretty cool place.
I have to visit Europe on of these days.
I am in New York City. Everything seems boring here, same old commercial nonsense. I guess when you are used to something it gets old and tired.
I just most of the time create a meditative space in my listening room. A chill out lounge.
Bullethead
Have a nice trip & journey to Europe !

I have never visited NYC , but trust you about you observation ,
and yes it is very nice listening room !
Best Regards !

I have the "persistence of memory" and also its companion piece the "disintegration of the persistence of memory" framed in my living room. not the originals however ;)
I wasn't aware of that painting, really cool. Dali was a very interesting mind, I haven't studied his works in person until I was in high school, seeing the persistence of memory in person, a very small painting.
BulletheadLes or more my first contact with Dali`s works was about 1975 or so in high school , but at that time I not realized the real Dali`s ideas, messages and values .
Around 2006 one of my good friend who have already finished Painting Academy in Belgrade gave me the nice printed color catalog with Dali`s paintings .
Sometime I watch that catalog and think ......
My conclusion is that painting is wrongly named "Geopoliticus Child Watching the Birth of the New Man" ,(I guess it was influenced with bad WW2 situation at that time ), but I think that the real painting name is - Birth of SoulMan from the Earth shaped Egg , since in many worlds cultures&subcultures Egg represent the human Soul .
Any way , that woman pointing her finger at that Birth shew saying to her small kid : Look and don`t be afraid , it is unique chance to see something Like This .

that is some interesting analysis of that painting. Very interesting, to appreciate art like that as well as the artform of music.
By the way Knobs "Reality" is very good too, the first track on that album.
I see them on both music services I subscribe to, both have different albums available.
I am looking forward to some more interesting music posted by you, thank you.
BulletheadIt is just OK to listen all that Knobs music Art at home via some quality sound system , but the Real Thing is to participate Live Knobs trance party , thrust me since in earlier years I have visited many PsyTrance late all night parties in my country ,it makes Big difference .
