Daniel Johnson seems to be doing fairly well in recent years but back in the day when he was off his meds he tried to stab to death a friend of mine who was managing him. "Don't you drive recklessly."

He took advantage of his illness to be an asshole, besides being of
scant talent, either as a songwriter or a performer. Way over-rated by
a lot of people who should have known better. I saw him once climb on
the stage at a performance by D-Day at the Continental Club near the
drum kit: David Fore whacked him in the head with the butt of a
drumstick and he was dragged out of the club by, uh, "roadies." What
you posted is typical of his output: he's still dreadful. Regards,
