It is very interesting to see & hear the rap music artists which is influenced with authentic Balkan sound !
I think that this modern information times allow to people from all over the world to communicate and exchange ideas & music and many other good things , before 20 or more years that`s was very hard for ordinary people .
Here is the link to one of my favorite female Gypsy music singer Mrs.Olivera Katarina , she was not the Gypsy , but her voice & singing was legendary here in Europa .

Yes ! , famous Esma Redzepova was the great singer & Gypsy queen from beatiful Republic of Macedonia .
Her music was more influenced with Near East sound from region of Bulgaria , Greece , Turkey & etc , even Middle East sound is present in her art - from Egipt & etc .
Here is one example of some Gypsy band which actual music is influenced with same East sound .
Best Regards !

The Ottoman empire ruled the Balkans for over 800 years so their
influence throughout the Gypsy diaspora is pervasive, like, for example,
with the Gypsy brass bands of Serbia, Romania, and Macedonia. Here's
a special treat: the legendary Lebanese singer, Tony Hanna, with the
Yugoslavian Gypsy Brass band doing a reggae tune with even a rasta
toaster. Ya gotta love this stuff. Jah Rastafai!

Yes the Ottoman empire was here as ruler for many century backwards , so the Near East region influence is obvious on Balkan everywhere , not only in music style , but in many people lifestyle too .
Many thanks for Tony Hana & YU Gypsy brass band tune ! I enjoyed !
But I must admit to you that I personally have stop to active listen any sort of Etno music long time ago , maybe 30 years ago or so .
Any way here is the one of mine favorite original old tune from Mr.Saban Bajramovic , the tune title is : Pitao sam malog Puza - da mi svoju kucu proda....., Roughly translated is : I was ask one little snail to somehow sold me his little house ........
Best Regards !
