the HiFiMan RE-262 or RE-272 might be a better choice. Anybody know about those?

Any opinion on those? They're all pretty efficient so they should work well with the Proton. I'm leaning toward the ER-272 since they're so well-regarded. The Grado GR10 are supposed to be amazing though. I've read good things about the Ortofon e-Q5 but there isn't much of a volume of info available on them and they can't be had on Amazon.

Unless you plan to listen directly from and iPod or MP-3 player, I see no reason not to use REAL headphones.

    IEM's are in many cases better then the best "real Headphones" in all aspects.
