it really depends on what your budget is. If you have lots of money, there is no reason why you wouldn't upgrade.....if money is tight, you might think about it more. Probably the best way is to audition them in your system and judge for yourself. I suspect that there is not that much difference.
Follow Ups:
I have the HD660S, HD 650 and HD 600. The HD 600 is the best and most neutral . The 660S is best for using with low power amps, and has an OK sound. I bought it to use at my beach house to work with my DAPs and my Ifi DAC/Amp listening to Tidal. I attached it to a Norne Silvergard cable with 4.4 balanced connector and it is good for its intended purpose. I have a Norne Draug copper cable on my HD 600 and it really improves the low end and mids of the 600.

Could you elaborate a little further ?
How does the 660S deviate from neutrality ? Is the 660S better than the 650 ?
According to your ears, of course.
No. The HD 660S is not better than the HD 650. From best to OK its HD 600, HD 650 and the HD 660S. It is not a bad headphone. Its great if you are trying to drive it with a DAP or in my case, an Ifi Zen Can to listen to Tidal at my beach cottage.
That's your opinion not fact. I like the drop HD58X ..... which is similar to the 660S much better then the 600 and 650. Much better low bass, less congested sounding and still a vocal presentation all star when compared the to the 650. The HD58X the best value headphone I know of period. Never cared for the HD600 to edgy and sibilant in the lower treble even with tubes.
The best headphone I own is the newer Monoprice M1070. But be sure you drive he phone with a powerful SS amp. A $100 Cavalli Liquid Spark is a fantastic pairing. I have a DIY 6L6 SE transformer coupled tube amp and the planer headphones just don't sounds as good on tubes .... so far.
