Had them for nearly 20 years. They're incredibly comfortable.
A friend of mine tried them and his face lit up as soon as he put them on, before any music was playing.
My main cans are Stax, they're not nearly as comfortable.
The problem is not that there is evil in the world, the problem is that there is good. Because otherwise, who would care?

in Trader... Of course now with the pandemic and into the foreseeable future, I probably will have to buy on blind faith as actually listening to them in the store will most likely be out of the question! Which I HATE doing! Luckily, I had pre-shopped @ Best Buy prior and had been impressed by the Sennheiser headphones as far as comfort goes... To be honest there were others that I liked the overall sound of better but they were FAR from comfortable and you know if they are uncomfortable in a short wearing situation in the store, then they will SUCK for extended use! I was thinking of getting one of those Dragonfly plug-ins as well and downloading something like Audirvana to make my computer listening experience complete...
you have to have the right gear, they terminate in a six-prong plug.
They're not as comfortable as Sennheisers either.
I've got the 600 Senns, they sound really really good and they're comfortable as hell. I can't speak for the rest of the Sennheiser line.
They used to make a cheaper version of the 600, it was the 585 or something. Used the same ear pads. They were a lot less expensive than the 600s.
You could also try Head-Fi, lurk around the forum, find what feels good, what inflicts pain.
My first set of Stax hurt like a bitch, but I loved the sound so much it didn't matter.

I just meant that I knew about the Stax phones from our previous conversations NOT that I was interested in them... probably just the Sennheiser , Marshall or possibly Master & Dynamics... I'll check out that website you mentioned.
Didn't think you wanted my Stax, but didn't know if you knew that you needed an energizer or amp, etc.
The massdrop HD-6xx looks like a smokin' deal.

for about $200.Since introduced as one of Mass Drop's first private label products a couple years ago, they have sold over 100,000 of them!
Made for Mass Drop, it's more HD-650 than HD-600 (someplace in between?) and at $220, it is a steal. Same comfort as the HD600 with a bit better sound of the HD-650 at a price lower that what I paid for my HD-600 nearly two decades ago!

I paid $240 for mine from Audio Advisor way back in 2003.

I use them on on PC for playing games and some music, they are as close to nothing on as you can get.
Comfort:sound:price ratios on these are off the scale.

++HD6XX always on with good sound
I don't know about the Drop model, but as a current owner of HD-600 and former owner of HD-650, these Senns have a strong clamping force. Fortunately they can be bent open a bit to relieve this problem. I put the earpads around a set of books overnight, and that did the trick. I find the "stretched" 600's very comfortable.
