I just picked these up on a local Craigslist sale for $100. Sound pretty decent as they are, even playing from the headphone jack on my Lenovo T530.The stock cables on these are really ratty as far as the way they lay. I ordered material last night to build new cables and some Dynamat for the MarkL mod. I know, I know, less than 6 hours in and I'm already scheduling surgery.
Looking for a USB/DAC/AMP which provides the best bang for the buck in the $150 - $200 price range, but may go up to $300 if the value is that much better. I don't think DSD is going to be very important to me at this time. It's main use will be travelling with me on business 15 days of the month and light use around the house.
I run Windows 7/64 bit with a 256gb SSD and will be playing Flac and AIFF files through jriver Media Jukebox 14.
Thanks in advance for any input,
James

I'm listening to it now and am just floored at how good it is. It runs about $150 last time I checked. I use it with audirvana and JVC FX700s as well as Beyerdynamic DT880 mostly for bedside listening. As a dad with a 3 year old and 6 year old, bedside listening is about all I get. I use it for files from mp3 to 96Khz/24bit. They do everything well, dynamics, tonal colors, detail, soundstage and articulation. Perhaps there is better out there for the price but I really doubt it. All I can say is I am very satisfied with this product and have no desire to upgrade anytime soon.

Second that on the D'fly 1.2. Recently got one, and am very happy.
If you'd like to use with an iPod, iPhone and require more portable solutions, I also have had a FiiO E17 unit that I like pretty well too. Can't go wrong either way, and you could have both for under $300 if you want to compare.
I use their HTA-1 (link below). They make another model called the DAC-2 which is a USB/DAC tube headphone amp.I love the way the HTA-1 sounds with my AH-D2000s.
Problem is, Fournier (as far as I know) is only sold on eBay and I haven't see any in a while.
Well worth looking into though.
Good luck.

It seems like he views this business as a casual, fun sort of thing to be done in his spare time. His products seem to appear and re-appear on ebay sporadically. Great little budget amps, though...
I emailed "linear_designs" on ebay in order to find out if he's still selling or making gear.
I had great experience with the Yulong D100 MKII with the Denon/Fostex line. They don't show up much but you may be able to find one on the used market if you're lucky due to the recent release of the D200.
