  I've owned both the 563 and the 47A but ended up giving away the 563. It's a nice player, especially with mods, but the stock 47A sounds warmer and more analogue-like to me. So if your system tends toward "dark," the go with the 563.

      I have a 48A, picked up @ the Zon for under a 100. on closeout. I also have a Yamaha 1800 which I currently favor.
      Both benefited with the use of an upgraded power cord and power filtering.
