What do we know about FIM dics and their sonic quality? They appear to offer a variety of formats, but except a few SACDs, are based around DVD-A specs.
Frankly, in the world of DVD-A, I've recently purchased some excellent discs from AIX and from Hiresmusic. But I have never heard of FIM. If their discs are as good as the above two, I'd like to know more about them and receive your recommendations about specific titles. They seem to offer some unusual formats which I'm not sure I fully understand or can evaluate.
Thank.

Oh, and there will be snowballs in hell when I pay $25 for a cd, when I can get new, sealed vinyl from Philips, DG, etc on Ebay for $8.00 to $20.00.

The discs are consistently excellent.

A stand out company. Perhaps expensive but worth its weight in sound quality. I have about 10 of Fim's releases and am constantly playing them. They are that good, especially these:
Grooving Classics
Happy Coat
Sweeeeet Sounds
The Lost World
Swan Lake
Getz/Gilberto
Any of the K2HD or DXD mastered discs are great. The ones that I'd recommend are.
Oscar Peterson - We get Requests
Misa Criolla
Yamamoto - What a Wonderful Trio
Million Watts of Love
Top 12 in Gold
I have their SACD Reference IV sampler and it's a 'standard'. I forget the guy's name, but he's Chinese and so you have some of that culture's music to fiddle with.
Winston Ma, seems to ring a bell.
