Chris, the problem may not be with the discs. A lot of people have been reporting problems with their Sony S550 players. If yours is still under warranty, you might want to have it serviced. Look at the reviews on Amazon for examples of issues people are reporting.

I'll check Amazon for the comments, as you suggest.

Right now, the two new Naxos discs are the only problematical ones for this player. It may be time just to get a new player in a few months, and pass this one down to one of my kids.
