Extract from AIX DVDs

Does anyone know how to properly extract 24/96 from AIX dvd's? I've used DVD Audio extractor and the file list breaks up the tracks into multiple tracks for each song. It also only list one "type" of track. MLP 6. I want to extract the stereo.

The 24/96 PCM 2.0 stereo tracks are actually on the DVD-V section of the discs, not the DVD-A section. Make sure you're "extracting" from the right side of the disc (there's material on both sides -- at least on the ones I have). Any DVD ripping program should be able to get this for you.

  How do I see the dvd-v "side" of the disc? I only have one "side" The disc will only play one way. When I put it into the drive that way and have dvd audio extractor look at the disc it only comes up with Title 1 MLP 96KHz 24bit 6Ch.

    DVDDecrypter can still be found (try the Doom site) and should be able to see the 24/96 stereo tracks. What disc are you trying to rip? Are you sure it has a stereo track?

      I'm not sure if it has a stereo track. How do I tell. The DVD is Mixtures I: A Classical Surround Sampler. On the back it says:

      Group 4 DTS 5.1 "Stage"

      I'm guessing the disk may only have a 5.1 track and it's "mixed" for the other tracks. That would be a real shame. I can't rip it for stereo then.

        That's what the discs that I have say on the back. The PCM 2.0 stereo track should be in the DVD-V format, not DVD-A, so a DVD-V ripper should be able to get you the stereo track.

        How do I use dvd decryptor to rip the audio tracks? It looks like it comes up with the files on the disc not a list of all of the audio tracks.

        You should probably visit the Doom9 forums. There's plenty of help to get what you want. DVD Decrypter (or possibly even DVD Shrink) can rip the disc to your hard drive. You can assemble the tracks to be burned to disc or files with DVD Shrink.
